Yeast or bladder infection?

Okay, this might be a tricky one...so i've been having symptoms for a little while and finished the 3-day treatment of equate miconazole nitrate for yeast infections 2 days ago. I don't know if it quite works yet, but who knows. Anyways, I don't know if i really have a yeast infection or a bladder infection. I sometimes have clumpy discharge, it doesn't have a strong odor, but it's not odorless, doesn't smell like fish, i didn't have itchiness a whole lot, when i did it lasted about 5 sec, ummm it doesn't really burn down there, except this one time when i rode my bike for an hour and then urinated it burned quite a bit, but otherwise besides that incidence it doesn't burn when i urinate, only when i wipe, but even then it's not a lot of burning. Also, some days is worse than others but sometimes it feels like i have to pee even though i just went, worsens with caffeine. SO, as you can see i'm really stumped. HELP ME!!! :(

not sexually active!

Hi,
What do you mean by "down there"? Are you referring to your urethra or you vagina?
It can be a bacterial or a yeast infection or both. A simple urine culture or a vaginal culture can determine which one you have.
Burning while you pee suggest a bacterial urinary tract infection (UTI). Clumpy discharge from your vagina is most likely yeast.
It is important to determine which one you have because they require different type of treatments.

Miconazole works for yeast infections but for bacterial infections you need antibiotics.

Drinking plenty of cranberry juice is also a good way to flush you urinary tract.

Best of luck!
