BACTERIA DOES NOT CAUSE YEAST INFECTIONS! your body has a natural scale of bacteria and yeast living in it all the time. bacteria kills yeast. yeast kills bacteria. if you take an antibiotic, you take out bacteria, which lets yeast run wild, and you get a yeast infection. There are alot of ways to get a yeast infection. Anything you do to tip the scales for yeast- dark moist places are havens for yeast to grow... antibiotics... and so on.

First, how do you know that it IS a yeast infection? There are other types of vaginal infections that can cause similar symptoms....namely a bacterial infection or trichomonas. Each type of infection is treated with different medication. Medication for a yeast infection can be bought over the counter without a prescription.
