Is this a yeast infection? could it be more serious??

my discharge smells kind of funny, sometimes its very strong, sometimes its quite light i dunno how to describe the smell - but it kinda reminds me of gone-off doughnuts. sort of mouldy bready, but i can never quite put my finger on what the smell is
my discharge is white and dries yellow

Mouldy doughnut smell sound like a yeast infection to me. There are quite a few OTC yeast infection treatments out there. My partner and I tend to use Canesten, but there are others that are equally as good.

Not treating yourself isn't really recommended. The worst that could happen with a prolonged YI is infertility. Plus, it doesn't fight off infections the way your normal flora does, so it's harder for your vagina to keep itself clean.

If you prefer natural remedies, buy yourself a douche and fill it with a 10% vinegar concentration and warm water. After douching, repopulate your native flora either with plain acidophilus yogurt or with an acidophilus pill. The acidophilus will essentially take up space that the yeast (and other nasty bacteria) would otherwise take up.

listen u need to see a doctor it might not be a yeast inferction it can be a urinary track infection they carry similar syptoms and since it had a funny smell it can be a bacteria..........and please dont listen to that person about using a douch that will only make things worse by creating more infection so please go to the doctor u will get a cream, some antibiotics and maybe something to insert is nothing to worry about ok just go get a check up

maybe.... i just talked to my nurse today, but i don't have a discharge or odor.... I do have some little bumps and the nurse told me that this could indicate a yeast infection and recommended Monistat and that usually clears it up...why not try that?

yeast infections produce white discharge in large amounts== cottage cheese like. very strong smell yellow-- could be a few std's or vaginosis-- not an std but presents the same way-- nonetheless they can usually be cured with oral antibiotics or vaginal creams-- see the OBGYN

no i forgot the name but it helps clean the v-jay jay, if it smell use summers eve douch if it still smells get a go to the doc it could lead to a serious infection pap smear to see whats up
