Can sex cause frequent yeast infection?

I have gotten 2 yeast infections over the last month or so
and iv been having a lot of sex,could this be the cause?
and if not what can cause frequent yeast infection?and how can i prevent it?

Actually both of you should clean-up before and after sex, this way may not completely avoid infection but certainly would minimise that to be happen !

Personally i think before is more important because you simply don't want something dirty being 'insert' into your body, right ?

Just like eating fruit, can you imagine if you clean you hand and fruit before eating, and clean them [ wash the fruit and gargle your mouth ] after consuming ? Which is more effective to prevent 'infection' ?

It certainly can. Some women are very prone to them after intercourse. Just make sure you get up and clean yourself right away. I know it can take away from the moments afterwards, but this will help prevent the yeast infections.
