Why do I get a yeast infection after I have sex with my husband?

The people answering probably have never had this problem so dont worry about many of the horrible answers.

SOmtimes, basically anything can set off thrush, it doesnt take much, and the aggravation of sex can be enough to bring it on. SOmetimes thrush can also be caused by a reaction to lubricant or even condoms. It's not definate that your husband has it either, sometimes that happens, but it isnt very common. If you suspect maybe you are passing it back and forth to each other causing re-infection, then go to the pharmacy and buy an external use anti-fungal cream and get your partner to use it on the tip and under the foreskin for about 7 days, that should clear it up, and treat yourself as well.

ANother thing that also causes problems for many women, is the fact that semen has a MUCH higher ph level than the ph level of the vagina. This means that every time you get semen in your vagina, it ca be upsetting the balance within your vagina, providing an environment for the candida backteria which causes a yeast infection to thrive.
Another issue may be that you have recurrant thrush, this is thrush that just comes back again and again, and basically anything can cause it. When you have this, sometimes doctors can prescribe a treatment which is stronger, and sometimes they suggest usng a follow up treatment one day per week for 6 weeks, even if you dont get thrush back again.

So those are a few things to think about, and it might be worth talking to your doctor to get some expert advice. But dont start thinking that your husband has cheated like that silly person said, this is not a sexually transmitted infection and can even be diet related.

Your yeast infection you contracted from your husband, If you were always clean, and washed you Private part every day,there wont be any infection, it is your husband that got it from some woman who is having a fling with

Because men can carry thrush or candida on the end of their penis. Then when you have sex he infects you- get him to use a thrush/ anti fungal cream on the end of his penis and it shouldn't happen...

Both you and youe husband should be treated to prevent from passing it back and forth like you describe. You may need to use condoms while being treated.

Look on his back for spots about one eighth in size, i had that, then i went to get some meds called antibiotics...she was a sex fiend.....

get treatment for this to stop the passing of this back and forth between both of you. next time use condom
