Reocurring yeast infections!!?? |
i get a yeast infection every three months to the date!! and they are horrible like seriously horrible. most of the time i have to go to the er because i'm in so much misery (itching, burning etc) what can i do to prevent this.. btw i'm lactoseintolerant so i can't eat yogurt!!! Treat yourself with Monistat, it's over the counter, as long as you are SURE it's yeast. well i'm lactose intollerent too but thats kind of strange to get yeast infections every 3 months. drink heaps of cranberry juice - not the one with all the additives. Get it from a health food store - they have the pure varieties. Also have a look at your diet in general. Eat healthier and you are better able to maintain the correct acid balance in your body to prevent the outbreaks. Make sure that you don't douche either. to the first person, um, powder does NOT help a yeast infection since a yeast infection is internal. You may need to just go see your doctor and let them know your history and see what they can do about it. make sure your partner doesnt have an infection. He couldgive you the yeast infection. make sure you wear cotton underwear. bath frequently and dry ourdelf very well. use a small amt of baby powder and keep the undies clean! good luck! if you've been on antibiotics then it kills the bad and *good* bacteria. You need to replace that bacteria, aka flora, with probiotics. I use acidophillus and got it at my heatlh food store. It needs to be kept in the fridge......... After you have a shower pat some baby powder all around the area. Since I started doing this, I havnt had one yeast infection yet. And remember to dry yourself really well with a towel. you and your partner both may need to be on antibiotics. if it keeps coming back be checked for other answers. good luck |
