Causes of yeast infections?

what cause's them? ive never had one but my step sister gets them ALOT, and i mean ALOT, neways, so what's the cause? are some people like immune? and others can get them really easy?

okay, yeast infections can be from a number of things. one common one is pregnancy and another is birth control pills.

but other things we do can onset them as well, like scented stuff. thus includes scented pads and scented tampons, feminine sprays and stuff like that. those things are what really contribute to it, thats what was doing it for me. also, dont douche alot, its not too good for you and try not to wear so many things, the fiction can also cause infections.

hope this stuff helps your sis

You can get them by wearing wet underwear or a wet swimsuit. Or your "Lower area" can just be shaped weirdly where it's hard to dry out. Yeast infection is fungus growin' down there. They are just really itchy and smell different. If you think you may get one, change your underwear if you have alot of vaginal discharge all the time and your underwear is continusly wet.

Several things can cause yeast infections. I know that taking antibiotics cause them because it kills bacteria in your body including the good bacteria that fight off infection. Some people can get them easily because of weak immune systems and so I suppose others could be immune. I don't know why some get them so easily, but I get them almost every month right before my period. I guess because my body is going through a hormone change or something

Yes some people can get them easier than others. Things that can cause them are: antibiotics, douching, getting hot and sweaty in your crotch area, having sex with someone who has jock itch(yeast infection on guys genitals) or yeast infection.

If she has any kind of blood sugar issue, she's much more suseptible. Or any kind of weakened immunity...when your immunity is weak, a yeast infection is often the first sign.

People with diabetes get them alot, also people who are pregnant and people who are on birth control. Wearing underwear made of synthetic material will cause a yeast infection too.
