What are things a doctor will do to determine if you have a yeast infection?

will they have too look at the area? or will they just do a urine test?

and how can i get the phone # of a hospotal or somthing that i can talk to them and be confidential and ask them about my sympotoms? i live in new jeresy if anyone know the #?

Try the state health department or your county health department. It should be in your phone book.

I think they have to look to determine what kind of infection you have (although my family doctor did not look when I had a UTI). Depends on the doctor. When I had a yeast infection, I saw a Gyn about it. It was my first Gyn check up in 1982.
I just told her my symptoms and she did look (it was part of the exam anyhow). I was given meds.
No urine test. The yeast infection is not connected with your bladder. You're thinking of UTI - which is a different infection from a yeast infection. But, I didn't have a urine test for that either when I had a UTI in 1994.

Your doctor will check your vaginal area and will do a pap smear.Go to a gynecologist have it checked up.It's hospital policy to be confidential in every patients information.
