And my sister is staying with me. we're sleeping on the same bed, could she get infected ?
Can yeast infection spread through skin to skin or sharing pillows and blankets ?
How does yeast infection spread ?

In addition,
It's been like a year or more since i got the last one.

Yes you can get frequent yeast infections. You may want to go to the doctor and have a glucose test, frequent yeast infections may be a sign of diabetes.

Yes, woman can get yeast infection over and over again. It is not normal if you didn't know where did you got that infection on your third time, maybe it is an occurrences from the last infection or you stopped the medication but the infection is still there.

As what they all said wear loose cotton clothes, no sugar or limit your sugar intake because it also play a role in production of yeast, take or apply a medicine. You can buy some meds OTC like Ketoconazole, apply it 2 to 3 times a day.

And also the best way is to seek medical help.. you might sometimes misjudge it by yeast infection but it is not..

Yes you can have a yeast infection numerous times.

There are many causes of yeast infection. First you need to understand that yeast is normal, it's only when there is an imbalance that a problem occurs.

Taking certain medications (like antibiotics) helps yeast multiply as well as certain foods in the diet (sugars)

Tight clothing or a build up of heat caused by the tight clothing can increase the chance of yeast infection.

Some people find success by taking acidophilus every day, you can purchase this at a health food store.

And your sister should be fine sleeping in the same bed.

You have recurring yeast infections, this is a problem that affects many women. It is not chronic because you don't have it 3 times a year. Your sister could get infected only if she is using antibiotics or has a weak immune system, otherwise, it should cause no problem.

Yeast infection is caused by candida, it is in many cases not spread as candsida is already in our bodies. But the grwoth starts when you kill the firendly bacteria that control its growth (antibiotics are a big cause) Check more info at http://www.squidoo.com/treatmentofvagina...

Oh yeah, you can get yeast infections many times.

Your sister should be fine as long as you're not partaking in incest or sharing underwear. I think it's pretty safe to assume that neither of these things will happen. Go get one of the over the counter antifungals and treat it.

One question, though -- what time frame are we talking about? I've had 3 of them myself, but over a period of 4 years. If you've had three in rapid succession (with only a few months in between), you should have your doctor check it out.

Due to warmer weather, yeast infections are more common in the summer. It's also never a good idea to stay in wet swim suit bottoms for a long period of time. Yeast loves moisture and heat!
**Don't share swimsuits/undies with your sister! (or any one else!!!)
**Eat Lots of yogurt! The live-active cultures in yogurt help prevent yeast infections---And It's YUMMY TOO!

Wash sheets regularly but I don't think its that.

Go to your doc, maybe the infection is never fully cleared up and keeps flaring up, maybe its your diet, always wear loose cotton pants not G-strings and wipe your bottom front to back -ALWAYS
