Does this sound like a yeast infection? I'm SO miserable!!?

I am 15. I am NOT sexually active. I just got off my period and a day later I had these symptoms:

Red around vagina
Itchy
Sore feeling
A tiny bit of burning, mainly itchy
It does not smell foul, it smells like it always does
White discharge; Not thick just white

The itching kinda keeps getting worse. I took monistat last night thinking it was a yeast infection, woke up this morning and it was itching more than before- not a lot more but just a little more.

What can I do? I'm only 15 and I am SO embarrassed to tell my mom to go to the doc- its not that easy to let someone look at me down there. My sister secretly bought the monistat for me. Please help, i'm so embarrassed, uncomfortable, scared. Could the monistat give me relief soon?

Sweetie, honestly, if Monistat didn't work, I would have to say to wait it or ....go see a Doctor. Monistat always worked for me, and I don't see a reason why it wouldn't for you.

sounds like one to me, I would try the Monistat three day ovule insert pack, that's what I used.

dont worry, im 17 and im in EXACTLY the same position as you.exept i have a real bad odor but not as much with the burning. i just posted a question about it aswell. and everyone said yeast infection. i dont know how i can go to the doctor without my mum knowing either. i dont know what we can do . :| but im scared to leave it.

It sounds like a yeast infection, so keep using the monistat. If it doesn't help the symptoms within a few days, then don't wait to go to the doctor. Also, eat yogurt and other things that contain acidophilus.

Is it itching inside or outside of your vagina? If inside, most likely that it's a yeast infection.

open your two lips if you see bumps that dont look like razor bumps then yu have it
