Can you cure a yeast infection just by eating yogurt? |
I'm not sure I have a yeast infection but I had smelly discharge. That's a symptom. I just noticed today. BTW. If I do indeed have a yeast infection, this will be my first time. You can't cure it by EATING yogurt, but you can cure it WITH yogurt. Over the counter medications NEVER work for me. It sucks. They make my yeast infections so much worse, so I have to use home remedies, which, truth to be told, are way cheaper and you don't run the risk of anti-fungal resistant yeast. No, you can't, but a smelly discharge is more likely to be a bacterial infection than a yeast infection anyway. The main symptoms of yeast infection are itching and a thick, clumpy white discharge. A smelly discharge is usually a bacterial infection. While a yeast infection can often be treated successfully with over-the-counter creams, a bacterial infection needs to be treated with prescription antibiotics. eating yogurt will help to PREVENT a yeast infection, but it will not cure one. If indeed you have a yeast infection, the itching and burning will drive you nuts in short order if left untreated. Suggest you get some Monistat from the local drug store. you really need a doctor to tell you its a yeast infection , to treat it right ,, as there are other infection you can get too down there, so have it check out.. yogurt may help |
