Please help with yeast infection?

Hey, well I think i have a yeast infection, im 13 and i do not want to go to a doctor. Its really itchy, sore, burning during urination, vaginal discharge that looks like cottage cheese and smells rather bad. Please help me cure in naturally. Please don't send links because normally they don't tell you what you have to do to make it go. Please help. Its really annoying. Thank you x

If i go to a doctor what would they do to check i have a yeast infection??

There is an over-the-counter medication that is called lotrimen that could help, if it is yeast.

More important, what is it that caused it? One attack might not be worrisome, but repeated attacks are signs that you need to change something.

Are you one the pill? Are you diabetic? Are you sexually active (even though you are too young)?

Seeing a doctor, especially at your age, for "female problems" is hard, but you owe it to yourself to see one at some point for at least a check up. You owe it to yourself as a woman.

A doctor would do what is called a pelvic exam, including a speculum exam, and probably look at the discharge under a microscope to make sure it is yeast.

If you want or need more details about what happens during this kind of exam, please email me.

And do tell your mom. More than likely, she has had a yeast infection at some point, too.

And, is there a female health care provider available to you? Some people feel more comfortable using one of them rather than a male (although I can guarantee you a male doctor will have done enough exams that it has become a matter-of-fact part of his practise.)

It sounds like you have a kind of yeast infection that is an overproduction of a certain type of yeast. It's called vaginosis trichinosis. Or something usually called "trick" for short. The only way you're going to get rid of that is going to the doctor. It's just going to get worse and smell even more gross if you don't.

You need to go to the doctor. There is nothing wrong with going to the doctor. Talk to your mom or sister.
