Hello , I'd try clear things a bit.
Yeast infection is a most irritating condition especially for women who are commonly infected by this disease.
There are many reasons contributing to yeast infection that women can know and some of them are:
Imbalance in your system due to antibiotics and stress
Wearing tight undergarments or underwear materials that promotes sweating
Pregnancy
Taking Pills
Frequent douching
Hormonal replacement for menopause
Diabetes or increased sugar level.
If you are feeling severe itching, swelling and burning sensation in and around the infected area - than this could be yeast infection.
Prescribed medicines may help cure yeast infection but there are also a few good natural yeast infection treatments.
I found a real good one on the source listed below...
One important thing - whatever you do - don't ignore it. If you experience recurring yeast infections dont ignore it as it may lead to chronic yeast infection.

I am a victim of constant yeast infections, its horrible...finally my doc told me about some new treatments...using a treatment like Canestan once a month whether you need it or not is apparently working well for some women so im just starting that this month.Things i have done on my own are eating lots of yogurt, taking acidophilus daily, keeping the area very dry, douching with vinegar and water after my period and having my husband use a condom.I have read you can make your own cream tablets to insert by freezing plain unflavoured yogurt but i have not tried that yet.I also think my diet plays into it,i do have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and im starting to notice when that acts up i get an infection, despite showering several times a day...so i think the foods we eat contribute also...hopefully some of this may help you,do lots of research and keep trying things until you find one that works for you. I should add that since were using condoms most of the time,it has seemed to have helped quite a bit.Good Luck.

In my 25 years of practice I have discovered that a lot of woman who think they have yeast infections do not.
Basic Anatomy: What you can see is the vulva, what is inside and invisible is the vagina. The vagina, labia minora, and the inside of the labia majora are all made of mucous membrane, not skin. Soap of any kind is not good for such delicate tissue. Think of using it in you throat or mouth. It is very irritating and can make your bits and pieces red, swollen, itchy, sometimes even painful.

At this point I believe it has become multifactorial, bacteria, fungus and inflammation. I order a cream called viaderm KC.

To avoid the problem in the first place, keep soap, douches, feminine hygiene products away don't use them, wash with pure clear water.
