Can a yeast infection cause a kidney infection?

I have had pains in my kidneys now for a few weeks, and just began to get white discharge. Can a yeast infection have caused a kidney infection? or can a kidney infection cause a yeast infection?

I don't have health insurance to go get it checked out so I have been drinking cranberry juice, which has not been helping. Help please!!!

I am not peeing any extra than normal, what it is is pain in my lower back. Sometimes it feels like pins are being put into my kidneys, or that someone is squeezing them, or that they are being stretched.

It sounds like you definitely have a kidney infection. My sister had this exact type of "squeezing" pain in her lower back for months, but didn't have the other symptoms like frequent peeing, so never dreamed it was a kidney infection. In fact, she thought she had injured her back somehow. She ended up in the emergency room one night and was finally diagnosed with a nasty kidney infection. You really need to see a doc and get it taken care of.

You can definitely have a kidney infection and yeast infection at the same time. Means your immune system is probably run down.

All the best!

I think a urinary tract infection UTI can cause something like that. It's not like an STD or anything, but one reason can be if you do not pee after sex, it causes it. Some signs of UTIs are like short pee's, stomach pain, nausea, etc. Another thing, it could be Pelvic Inflammatory Disease PID which is from sex and stuff.

a doctor can tell for sure if you have a yeast infection by taking a simple test... point out that a yeast infection will NOT cause you to miss your period. ... the infection can travel up past the bladder, causing kidney damage. ...please go to the doctor don't let it go any further you could cause a lot of damage even infertility
