Treatment for fungal and yeast vaginal infections( candidiasis)...Help please?

I have been diagnosed of above mentioned.
the doctor told me to use GYNO-DAKTARIN 200mg vaginal capsules once daily through 7 days...along with Ciproflex antibiotic, and vaginal wash 3-4 times a day. Is that enough?

I used the capsules, and now 2 hrs later I have this burning sensation. It's not annoying, it feels like there's some kind of mint lotion or something like that...is it normal?
How long will it take till things are good ?

I always have taken care of my hygiene down there, i wax, wash, clean. So idk what really caused it.
And I'm sexually active and do unprotected intercourse with my BF, who's the only guy I've ever had in this part of my life (sexual). I'm 22..

Nothing is noticed in my throat nor my tongue.

What else should i do to prevent these infections from happening again? and for how long should my bf and i stay off intercourse noting that i started the treatment today.

Thanks..xx

Do you also have a bacterial infection? If not you shouldn't be taking an antibiotic (it kills the good bacteria that helps get rid of/controls yeast).

lifestyle stuff you can do is get on supplements (with L.acidophilius), eat yogurt with live cultures, wear cotton panties, loose clothing, cut out the sugar/bread/pasta/alcohol from your diet, don't wash with soaps that have fragrances, and try to keep yourself dry "down there"

Avoid intercourse until it clears up completely.

You can't guarantee that you won't get this again, but one thing that may help is to watch your diet and avoid too much sugar and carbs. The infection basically represents your body getting out of balance, so that something present in some small quantity gets out of control.

There's a lot of information available on the web if you google "yeast infection."

If you are getting those infections, it means you are not having enough sex. Your body is made for sex and babies, so when you deprive it things like that happen.
