Questions for girls only On Yeast Infections?

1. Are they only transmitted from sex?
2.How do you know you got it?
3. do i already have it? My Symptoms ( Itchy, Discharge stuck in there, Discharge comes in little tiny bits that stick to my pubic hairs)
4. Im not sexually Active? so if it is transmitted bye sex? how did i get it?

It's not sexually transmitted, but a partner can catch it from you and make it worse down the line. You usually know it because of the itching and discharge and hes it does sound like you have one, you can talk to a doctor or get some over the counter medication for it.

1. No, a yeast infection has absolutely nothing to do with sex. You cannot catch a yeast infection as they are not contagious.
2. If you have a yeast infection, believe me, you will know. You may be swollen, itchy, red, painful, yellow/thick discharge.
3. It does sound like you have some sort of yeast infection, or maybe just your average vaginal infection.
4. Yeast infections just happen to many, many women. Bacteria likes to grow and live in warm, moist areas, so if you get bacteria near your vagina, they are going to love that area as it is moist and warm, the perfect living area for bacteria. Wearing loose fitting knickers can help and bathing often.

If you think or have a yeast infection, you should visit your doctor. I know it's embarrassing, but it is better to get it cleared.
You can buy over-the-counter thrust products like Canesten. These come in a cream that you apply to the area on the outside, an oral pill that you swallow and it gets to work on the inside, or a pill that you put inside your vagina which fights all the bacteria and will eventually clear it within a few days.
Personally, i think the pill inside your vagina is the best course of action. It gets straight to the problem.
Do not itch, even though it is VERY frustrating and annoying, try your best not to as you will only be making the area worse and spreading the infection to other areas of yoru vagina.

1,it is not transmitted by sex.i know someone who swam everyday and afteer wouldnt take off her baithing suitt untill a couple hours later eveery day and eventually got a yeast infection because of itt.
