Can I eat Flavored Yogurt with sugar and still fight off Yeast infection? |
Will good Bacterias overcome Sugar fed yeast? I don't think it would hurt. You don't cut all sugar out of your diet just because you have a yeast infection. Just keep your sugar consumption to a minimum by not eating sweets like candy and ice cream. It's not like you eat 5 yogurts a day, right? I think you would be fine. The yogurt is good for you. What you can do also is buy some acidophilus pills. That is the good stuff that yogurt has in it. You can get them anywhere they sell vitamins usually. SUGAR FEEDS YEAST. You need to get on Nystatin to kill it off, and stop eating sugars and white carbs. My doc, John Parks Trowbridge MD is one of the world's foremost researchers and published authors on Candida If you actually have a yeast infection I would reccommend to get a treatment over the counter, but as long as you eat yogurt that says it has live active cultures it will help prevent infections and sustain the normal ph. Although if you are broke try yogurt, you can even douche with it, but I would use just plain yogurt with no flavoring or fruit flavored if you are going that route. It's the active cultures in yogurt that help a yeast infection. The sugar doesn't hurt it. Although, please DO NOT douche with yogurt like someone told you to. Dr.s say not to douche at all because it pushed bacteria further up into the vagina. Douching with food is one of the worst pieces of advice that I have ever heard of. |
