What's the best medicine on the market to combat a yeast infection? A prescription medication prescribed by your physician is generally the best way to go. There are a lot of OTC meds for this but might not be as effective as the Rx type. dyflucan (pill taken by mouth, no mess!!!!) I spelled it phonically. O'and it's prescription only. I started taking probiotics after I had been on antibiotics for while (they gave me a yeast infection because they kill all the bacteria-even the good kind) but the probiotics supply what will fight the yeast infection. Theres lots over the counter, probably at like gnc, i got mine at trader joes. Also, in the meantime, you can get the over the counter cream stuff at the drugstore. buy some Masengill vinegar douche and use it 2-3 times a day for 3 days. or there are OTC creams you can use. http://www.coolnurse.com/yeast.htm... Remember first and foremost that every body reacts differently. What works for me isn't necessarily going to work for you. I like the 3 day Monistat, why not the 1 day? For me the 1 day BURNS like nobody's business. 3 day is completely tolerable for me. As for diflucan I dig that too but when it runs out, you have to have a Rx for it and you can't always get in to have your doc write one up. |

I wont hurt if you buy some Monistat and try it. It will have no adverse reaction. They have a 1 or 3 day formula. If that doesn't work then I would go see your doctor. Check out the... I dunno.....but I will tell you that orange juice is pretty much the only thing my grandmother has ever drunk and she is really healthy.....she is 70 years old and still works 40 hours a wee... What can you catch? The same infection orally! There are creams and tablets which can help clear up yeast infections. If she is getting thrush frequently it could be an indication tha... I don't think it would hurt. You don't cut all sugar out of your diet just because you have a yeast infection. Just keep your sugar consumption to a minimum by not eating sweets like... If you are sure its not an infection then its the normal discharge any woman experiences. Some women have more discharge than others. Sometimes it has to do with sexual arousal. Its just one... Diarrhea and nausea are normal for antibiotics because the medication also kills good bacteria which regulate your bowels and whatnot. However, that is a lot to be taking at one time. If... Have you heard of Thrush, Its a yeasty mouth. Babies get it when they are delivered by mothers with a lot of yeast. I am not sure if he could get it, but it is not worth the chance.... |
