If I only get itching right after my period is it still considered a yeast infection?

i only itch really bad RIGHT after the ending of period for about a week then it goes away. it happens every single time... my doc told me i have a yeast infection but i didn't tell her about that little detail..

I wear pads, and yes, they are super drying and make me itch too. However, if your doctor did and exam and checked a sample under the microscope and confirmed he presence of yeast, then yes you did have an infection. This new itching may not be an infection though. Try an over the counter yeast treatment if you think it might be, or see your doctor again. Hope that helps.
it could be from wearing pads for the week, especially if they are perfumed ones
I have had the same problem and i found out that it was bacterial vaginosis that can only be treated with some nasty antibiotics, you need to see your gynecologist and have it checked out. do you itch right before your period also?
