How come everytime I use Lube of any kind during sex i alwayz end up with a yeast or bacterial infection ? |
Does this happend to anyone else? how can i pervent it? i have this problem too with the flavored stuff. I think its beacuse of the sugar, warm, dark area combination is conducive to bacteria growth...but that's just my opinion I've never had this happen. Are you sure it's the lube? Any type of moisture can harbor the bugs for infection. After sex, make sure you urinate and shower. Might want to insert a small tampon for about 20 minutes to absorb the excess "moisture". You may be allergic to the lube. I am allergic to certian brands of condoms and lubes and it gives me the same results. Find what works for you and stick with it. Also, if you are sensitive to these products then be careful, I am allergic to yeast infection treatments too. Alot of lubes are basically the same formula, so you may be allergic to an ingredient they all have in common. Tell your doctor what the problem is and ask for an allergy test. In the meantime, cut back on your sugar intake. (Sugar feeds yeast infections.) There is this site called Pure Romance that offers a lube: Just Like Me is one of Pure Romance鈥檚 top selling lubricants. Created to simulate the natural feel of a woman, Just Like Me is pH balanced and is highly recommended to women who are extremely sensitive or prone to yeast or bacterial infections. It is non-irritating, water-based, and safe to use with latex condoms. http://www.pureromance.com/ec_productvie... There is a common ingredient in all lubes and its possible that your having an allergic reaction to it . I'm not sure when the last time you got a check up from your gyno but you might want to make an appointment just to make sure your ok . |
