Can having a yeast infection show sugar in your urine exam?


I went in for a yrly exam and it showed sugar in my urine. I currently have a yeast infection. Or could it be that I have diabetes???

Yeast love sugar (it's a good growing environment). Diabetics often have sugar in their urine and are therefore at increased risk for getting yeast infections. You need to have some tests done to determine if you have diabetes. It is very important not to ignore this & to get started on the appropriate treatment if necessary. husband had been dealing with a yeast rash for a year (off and on). they just diagnosed him after the rash wouldn't leave-from nov to the first week of march. since then, they have found out he is diabetic. is on oral medications, rash is gone! no more yeast infection!!

I know if my sugars are consistently high for a few days - the yeast infection is not far behind - so it would make sense to me
