Yeast Infections and Yogurt? |
I read somewhere that you are supposed to put it down there, is that so? Sounds strange but hey if it works! I am 13 weeks pregnant and these things KEEP coming. SO do I eat the yogurt or do I put it on there? I was also told to put it down there ....but also eat it. Of course not the same one lol. Don't put any flavored kind down there, just the original cuz the sugars in the flavoring, etc. can make it worse. Even without eating yogurt but just by putting the "original" down there helped me almost every time. My mom laughed when I told her about it but I was told by my friend's grandma who knows the older remedies, and it DID work. Its messy so I'd definitely wear a pad. Your suppose to eat the yogurt to prevent it or help it. No, hon, do NOT put it down there!! But EATING it might help- just make sure the container says that the yogurt you choose has "Live active cultures"... this may or may not help much, though. Make sure you're letting your OB know that you're gettting these yeast infections, many creams are safe during pregnancy. Good luck~ eat yogurt. After baby born put it down there eat the yogurt I've heard it both ways. My general practitioner told me that eating 1 yogurt each day that I was on an antibiotic for a sinus infection would keep the yeast infection from forming. I've also heard that if you take PLAIN yogurt in a syringe you can put it down there for a fast remedy for a yeast infection. Good Luck. Experience/advice |
