Are Yeast Infection 1 dose treatments effective? |
I was talking with some friends about those OTC one dose and 3 day treatments. We are all under the impression they dont work and 7 day treatment is most effective. But i would like to know has anyone even tried the once does treatment like Vagistat 1 or Monistate 3day..If so what was your experience and did it work? I do know for sure the Dyflacan pill is a 1 dose treatment that works almost instantly and my old docter would prescribe it everytime she prescibed me antibiotics. I always use 1 day. and it works great! ive used monistat 3, and it worked just fine... never tried the 1 day treatments though Apple cider vinegar works well. Look into that. Yes, one dose worked and it was during my period, too. Prevention is very important. Talk to your doctor, they should have a pamphlet on it. Eat yogurt regularly, drink lots of water, pee right after sex (really!) and lower the stress in your life. There's other things, also, can't remember now. But I used to have them constantly starting in middle school, thru high school and early years of college, and now that I do things to prevent them, I get one every two or three years. Live well, do good and love deep. try focusing on the cause of the problem..look at your diet..cut down on breads..sugars..and all things made from yeast or that fements..alcohol included..eat yougart and also you can put the yogart into the vagina..this works a treat...stay away from soaps and bubbles..put salt and or tea tree in your bath..go without underwear as often as you can Yes it does work. Just read the instructions carefully. They state that it still takes 5-7 days for the infection to completely heal. Don't have vaginal intercorse, this can irritate and actually pull some of the medicine out. I have used the One Day Treatment, and if anything, it gives fast relief, and I don't have to worry about having the seven night routine of discomforting treatment insertations.
