Every time I go swimming, I get a yeast infection. How can I prevent this?

How can I prevent the water from going up my vagina and causing a yeast infection? I live near the ocean and I love to swim, but ever since I started taking the Pill, I get a yeast infection every time I go swimming. Please help!

When you're done swimming, change out of your swimsuit!!!! Sitting in that wet suit is a breeding ground for yeast to grow. Dry off immediate and change into some cotton undies!
eat lots and lots of yogurt!!!! very good for preventing yeast infections!
you need to make sure that you get out of your wet suit - you are probably getting it from the bacteria in the ocean. You can also try washing with a betadine solution - they sell it in the store - its a reddish brown color. when you come home from the beach rinse your perineal area with the solution then let it dry then take your normal shower.

also it sounds like your pill dosage may be too high. an imbalance in horemones can also cause the infections.
yes eat plenty of natural yoghurt it does help.
