Yoga feet? |
i have been taking yoga for about 6 months now and i took to it really easily. i have always had trouble balancing bc i am pigeon toed (not in life, just in yoga). of course my teacher doesnt know that and fixes my feet every time and every time i lose balance. how can i preserve the pose and adjust my feet? its hurts so much when i do the poses and try to straighten my feet. help? sorry, i am always pigeon toed, but its only a problem in yoga. :) Have you discussed this with your instructor? Perhaps if your instructor were aware of your difficulty he/she might be able to help you with modifications so you can perform the positions with proper alignment (as proper as it can be for your situation). Remember, we are all different. One important thing about yoga is learning to listen to your body. If a position causes you pain, then you should modify it. Never push your body to the point of pain. Your instructor may be oblivious to how much pain changing your stance may cause you. Do it slowly. gradually. DO not try hard things that give you pains or may give you pains. Practice will enable u to do what the teacher wants u to do. U might start with shorter duration and go on increasing as u gain strength. |
