Should I add pilates and yoga to my everyday workout?

I get on the ellipitical for 35-40min and I get on the weight machines at the gym 4-5 times a week. I was thinking of trying yoga and pilates classes a few times a week for an 1 hour. They offer classes @ the gym. I was thinking of going today but I didn't have the courage to go for some reason......I saw a lot of people and I got initimated since I am a beginner so I just got on the ellipitical. I am 16 years old by the way and all the people in the class were in their 30's so yeah, what do I do?

I know pilates and help you lose weight ALONE -- you need cardio!
But yoga can help you relax and stretch and pilates tightens your muscels, doesn't it?
So should I not even bother?

I'm not a fan of pilates but I LOVE yoga. It strengthens you more than you'd think and everything became easier after starting yoga. Don't be shy either, during yoga no one is even going to look at you - you focus so much on yourself, your breathing, and what you're doing that you don't even notice anyone in the room.

Im prolly gonna make a lot of people mad, but allwell. Yoga and Pilates is a joke. You are doing plenty of working out for your age and the stuff your doing is actually helping. I watched hundreds and hundreds of people spend thousands on yoga and pilates crap(i used to work at a gym) and you no what, even the teachers of it laughed at the fact that these people were gullible enough to spend money and wasting time doing it.
None of them got any better at anythign they were doing, none lost weight, none looked any different.
So no, i honestly dont think you should bother.

i do pilates, but as my only excercising really
it doesnt really help lose weight, so if thats your goal don't bother
if you have "problem areas" which i know even 16 yr olds can have, i'm 15, it could help with that
it helps with tightening up my legs and belly, so if you want tighter abs it could do some good, but only with proper diet

yoga and pilates are great workouts. i was a skeptic until i actually tried it. It adds strength and flexability, which is always to have both. dont worry about the age thing...they are just trying to get/stay in shape like you.

not every day, but once or twice a week. Yoga increases flexibility and improves your abilty to work your muscles

Go for it!

dont feel shy....keep an open mind and giv it a shot...you`ll love it...
