Yoga? Better than "regular" workouts?

Exactly how healthy is Yoga when compared to other workout routines such as aerobics, jogging, etc.?

Do you benefit more from yoga since you meditate and get about an hour of peace and quiet? Does it really benefit your "mind, body, and soul" better than regular workout routines?

Wow. the above poster really put it all out there. :)

Yoga is an excellent addition to your regular workout. You definitely gain a huge amount of benefits from yoga, and if you really want to see rapid, obvious results in your musculature and body I recommend you combine a regular workout with yoga. You can do both on the same day, or alternate them.
Another good idea is to do 15 minutes of yoga to warm up before you work out, 15 minutes after you work out, then do a more vigorous 1 hr to 1.5 hr class on days you don't work out.
The yoga will help prevent injury and will also help prevent soreness in the muscles after a hard workout.
Yoga is incredible.
Good luck!
