What's more likely to tone thighs- running or yoga/pilates?


ok so i did track for the first time this year to ge thinner legs, but they actually bulked up and got muscular. my legs were thinner before i did track- back when i was doing yoga/pilates. this summer should i continue to run or do yoga/pilates? or is there better exercises for skinny legs? i love my muscular calves, it's my muscular thighs i hate. i know theyre strong, but tons of other girls on the track team have much nicer legs. HELP!

First, stop comparing yourself to other girls! You will always find someone with prettier legs (or other parts) than you no matter how much you do to tone and shape them, and you have great legs for YOU. Who says your legs don't look great with muscular thighs? I always thought my butt was flat and unattractive, until I met a guy who said my butt drove him crazy (I ended up marrying him, not for that lol, but what's important is he loved me for ME).

So stop comparing yourself, and then go ahead and do some yoga and pilates. If you love to run, then run! It would be sad if you gave up something you love to do just because of what you THINK others are thinking of you. Usually we are wrong. :)

Yoga will not bulk up your legs, but it will give your muscles definition and strength. Pilates is more likely to build a little more muscle.

pilates because that is building muscle in your legs. Also try to do some weight lifting that works the legs if you can get to a gym or have access to that kind of equipment. Do things like leg press, squats, ect.

I take yoga but can't tell that does anything for my thighs. Running really kept every part of me in shape so I am back on working on half marathon. Hopefully, this will tighten up so loose skin.

Yoga/Pilates. Running will get your thighs no where.....unless you do it 24 hours a day

if u cant do both i suggest yoga/pilates
