I am jogging and doing yoga regularly, and watching my calories - so why I have I gained 20 lbs in 20 wks?


BTW, I am 20 wks pregnant.

Watching calories as in getting what I need as a pregnant person.

it could be a combination of the pregnancy and building muscle. muscle weighs more than fat because it is denser. that is why some personal trainers use tape measurements to see if you have lost inches and not use a scale.

when pregnant you will gain weight so don't worry but if it is really bothering you please call your ob. But I will keep up the exercising because it will help you during labor and it will give you energy on a daily and it will help you recover. I also am pregnant and I have a crazy life. I have a husband, 3 kids and I have two dogs. I get my exercise in by taking the kids to the park and playing with them and I walk my dogs everyday 3 times a day for 1/2 hour each walk and I feel great.

You're suppose to gain weight!!! You haven't gained very much actually considering you only have about 12 weeks left. Since you have stayed active you will lose the weight as soon as you deliver the baby. How is your baby's health? That is what's important at this particular moment, not your weight.

It's possible you've got gestational diabetes, which they'll be testing you for pretty soon. But most likely, you're just having a healthy pregnancy. That's not a huge amount of weight to gain, but I would definitely ask the obgyn at your next visit.

um, your pregnant and that is wht happend when you have a baby growing inside your body. Please don't watch your calories you NEED THEM!!!

You are doing GREAT! Expect to gain weight for a healthy baby.
