Does yoga really help you lose weight?

If it doesn't then is it considered
excercising?

yes yoga helps you lose weight. When doing yoga you have to work on blance, muscle strength, concentration, and much more which all burn calories. However, to burn more calories you need to add cardio in(running, biking, ect).

Yes! Absolutely.

In fact, it's one of the best exercises known for reducing fat, for the improvement of digestion and for curing constipation... and much more benefits.

All the best,
Chaker

It does to an extent, but if your only goal is to lose weight, you may want to do something that burns more calories in addition to yoga. However, yoga is really good for developing muscle strength and flexibility.

I don't know much about Yoga, but I believe that focusing on your body can help you heal, and raise awareness of your health, and help you lose weight. Maybe Yoga does this, but one problem with Yoga is that it seems to be a pagan ritual of some kind.

well kind of. By taking Yoga it helps you become lean, fit, and a bit flexible. It's really good for your body and releases stress. If you want to lose weight, you should try to go workout at the gym or take pilates or something.

yea it does. i dont think its the fastest process of losing weight but patience is the key. ive done it for a few weeks and its shown results. dont just do yoga though switch it up once in a while

You bet it does, it stretches your muscles and gives you a dancer's body, Well, that along with eating right. You know have dancer's have long and lean bodies? Yoga will do the same thing.

It does not help at all to lose wiight, but it helps a lot to relax and to increse flexebility, but never to loose weight.

Yes it does. It takes time and practice, though, and isn't necessarily the best thing to try for a short-term diet.

Yoga is for toning after you have lost the desired weight. To lose weight you need to do cardio.

I think it makes you stronger and more flexible. I dont think it will help you lose weight.

it is exercising, but it's not for weight loss, it helps you build muscle.
