3 simple questions regarding yoga?


1) I was emotionally traumatized a while back and my friend suggested yoga. Does yoga actually help?
2) What are some simple yoga moves or routine I could do daily when I get up? Links and videos are appreciated.
3) What are the benefits of yoga? Does it help tone the body and relieve stress?

It makes you less stressed yes, as for helping with emotional trauma..........

youtube is great for yoga, however so is wii fit, perhaps invest in them if not google these moves : warrior, sun salutation, tree, rising knee, bridge, chair, palm tree.

It helps stress to an extent, but it's to do with stretching and toning and helps after weight loss.,

Very nice start! Yes, yoga is considered one of the best stress reliever activities. It will tone your body, and give you that mind/body harmony to keep fit and be healthier..

I used to do yoga in the form of following the poses on the Oxygen show "Inhale". I think it helped, even before what I thought of as the floor poses, in that my concentration had to go in to doing the pose, so I didn't fall. Even with the deep breathing and just sitting and being helped. I don't do that now as much as I should, but when I do, it's great.
