My friend is suffering from Insomnia Your advices please. Will Yoga do good ?Please excuse me .....? |
........for the wrong post.Thank you in advance. Yes, there are relaxing exercises that she can do right before bed. I practice many myself. Most are quiet, meditative poses. But she should talk to a yoga instructor before trying many so she doesn't hurt herself. Yes, Yoga relaxation will almost certainly help. Lie down on your back with your arms and legs spread out diagonally and close your eyes. Then, moving from the top to the bottom of your whole body, imagine that each part is first very heavy, then very light, then mentally let go of it. Do that with larger parts of your body until you're doing the whole of yourself at once. Then, focus on your breathing and make it slow and deep, breathing with your diaphragm rather than your ribs. Hops tend to make you a bit drowsy. You can make a tea from them (it's not tasty). Of course, having a very hoppy beer will work as well. I suffer from it as well- it's not very pleasant but it doesn't kill you. Sooner or later you just reach a point where you are too exhausted to stay awake. I find that vigorous exercise is the best thing for helping me overcome it. Tell your friend about Yog Nidra. (Yogic Sleep). That is dependent on why your friend is suffering from that. Yes, relaxation is good and should help the cause although I am not keen on yoga. Tell your friend to stop pigging out. yoga will help....get her to excersise everyday and try camomile tea...or valaria root..... yoga makes me fall asleep so maybe it will help but it make some people have more energy |
