How many of you benefited from Yoga? |
Why don't people realize that it has nothing to do with Hinduism? Can u relate both KOJAK? I love yoga! I pray to the Christian God and Jesus while I practice. I have practiced yoga for years, and have benefitted greatly healthwise, and I am not a follower of Hinduism. who said it got nothing to do with HINDUISM - perhaps you should rephrase your question on elaborating what type of yoga you were telling. maybe HATTA or so and so.. I've definitely benefitted from yoga!! When I first started years ago I was amazed at the difference - never had sciatica again, headaches? gone! Immune system? Fantastic! Energy? Heaps! I don't know what Junos is talking about - I studied yoga in India for quite a while and never saw people doing yoga as a homage to the Hindu gods - not that it couldn't be incorporated into religious practice. There's degrees of yoga just as there is degrees of anything else. I think if yoga was taught more globally our healthcare systems wouldn't know what to do with themselves. Practicing yoga has helped me a lot. It's decreased my back pain, increased my flexibility so that I am less likely to get hurt when I'm active, and I use the breathing techniques I learned to help me get through other strenuous activity and to relieve stress anytime I need to. Yoga is related to breathing, exercise, and meditation (for some). Some people just jump to conclusions without doing research. Millions of people practice Yoga for the mental and physical benefits with no regard for the spiritual aspects of the discipline. Meditation is a secular practice too. I dislike yoga. I understand yoga as an exercise aimed at perfecting something. I used to swim backstroke, trying to keep straight, making my hands enter and exit the water without splashing but maintain a good speed. My mother does it and she says she feel better , fresh and active all time. I never tried it, I am much more into intense workouts into gym . But yeah whoever does it , it benefits them. I believe yoga is very calming and relaxing and help one become more flexible. I don't view it as any type of religion.
Arrgh matey, yoga will send ye to Davey Jone's Locker Yoga taught me how to use the force. I like yogurt better I have. His strategies for stealing "Pick a nic Baskets" are beyond compare. it got rid of my back pain and the twinges in my legs Apparently you don't know anything about Yoga then. |
