How can I get more flexible for Yoga postures.?

You can try doing some standard stretching. Also by doing yoga you will become more flexible. Here are some common stretches:

Just work yourself on the yoga positions gradually so you don't pull a muscle, I know from experience :P

You can start with the easiest poses, and go on to the more complicated ones.

Go to a local gym and see if they have beginning yoga classes, that will give you a good starting point.
