What is it in yoga that makes you tone and lose weight?


i just got a wii fit and want to know how beneficial it will be for me

You are going to TONEEEE.... because it will make your muscles work hard!!! When you are in one position you stay there for a little while then you change to another one and like that.

In mat work:

When you are doing downward facing dog, then a plank, the upward facing dog, then go to warrior I position, In just that! You arms are going to be working your back, your lats, your legs almost everything.
eventually you will get tone. But you must continue.
Usually you will start with the begginer section. I exactly dont know how the wii thingy is but anyways If you are new to this Start easy learn the position and their level of difficulty.

If you arent that felxible dont etend all the way your leg just bend it. and If you can stay still like in warrior positions drop your knee to the floor. Just make little changes. And usually there level f intensity in each position so depdning on you and your practice.

Well lose weight if you eat well and do cardio now and then, Yes you will lose weight, Also remeber muscle burns more calories!!!
So eventually you will be thinner, you will see that you lose more weight when you'll lear all the poses and have no difficulty shifting and staying there. There is a yogaa cardio video the diference is that changinf position is more quickly.

TRY iT!!!! :) After a few session is very relaxing, well it wil depend....

when you do yoga and hold the pose it tones your muscle by working your muscle and when you have more muscle you burn more fat.
