Does yoga help one reduce fat, especially around the tummy?


How frequently should it be done? & what sort of yoga? & how fast can i see changes in my weight?

Practicing any type of yoga will build strength, but some types may not raise your heart rate enough to make them the only form of exercise you need to include in your weight loss regime. It depends on the type of yoga you select and how frequently you practice it.

The best yoga to lose weight is a form of Power Yoga by Diamond Dallas Page called YRG. It is yoga based but they added in other exercise movements to get you in your fat burning zone. They sell DVD's or have online videos at www.GreatDrills.com

The have shown many people losing 20-30 pounds in 30 days with YRG. I saw the infomercial on TV. What I like about it is that they have a starter level that eases you into the positions but still gives you the benefits of the program. I do it from home without any other equipment. Good Luck!

Don't think yoga will help lose weight..... The only thing I see yoga doing is helping a person be flexible. Pilates is a good exercise to see changes..
