I m not flexible at all. i have a very stiff body. but when i have a backache i do yoga. but not regularly? |
Any suggestions for improving flexibility. do i have to practice yoga even my back doesnt hurt? can i do it at night? just keep stretching everyday even if you don't exorcise http://www.womensheartfoundation.org/con... Yoga is good for any occasion. It will increase your flexibility and strength. stretch a little every day Yoga is excellent when practiced regularly. You can work with an instructor to learn a routine, then use it at home frequently with occasional classes to stay tuned up on your technique. Another extremely good approach to stiffness and back problems is Pilates; it was developed for ballet dancers but has been generalized to a wider audience in recent years. Pilates is known for focusing on "core strength" meaning abdominals and back. Another thing that you might want to do for an initial period of a few weeks or months is "dynamic stretching" with a fitness trainer who will help you gradually increase your range of motion. The site below has a very thorough discussion of stretching. Aloha http://www.cmcrossroads.com/bradapp/docs... yep do yoga at night also simple streches u learned in gym can help i have this dvd called "yoga for inflexible people" where you use chairs and household items and it's simple. maybe you should check it out! |
