Is it ok if a 13 year old girl who is not very flexable to take yoga?

yes... i started taking yoga when i was thirteen... i also took pilates and it is a great tool to loose weight, relax, and get rid of stress. it can improve flexibilty. It will not hurt you because when you start out you want to start in a begginer class.... try to go to a professional and not use the at home dvds becasue you canot be sure if you are doing the moves right which could then cause problems. other than the dvds yoga is a great thing.

yes yoga isnt about flexibility its about the peace of mind
As long as you don't push yourself too hard and hurt yourself. Take it easy until your body gets used to it. Chances are you'll loosen up.
