Which yoga are you on the path of? |
There are four paths towards liberation: bhakti yoga (path of devotion), jnana yoga (path of knowledge), raja yoga (path of meditation), and karma yoga (path of action/service). It can be a combination of the above. This applies to all religions like for example Mother Tereasa did karma yoga by being of service to the poor, sick and dying. My Guru put me on path of Bhakti when I didnt even know the "s" of spirituality. So thats Gods plan for me-my destiny. He chose it for me I didnt choose it for myself.Gyaana never satisfies me completely since then and meditation etc doesnt appeal to me so much.Devotees do a different kind of meditation. very nice ques by the way I will read all the answers.thanks edit-I am no true or real bhaktaa-a paapi bhakta-a bagla bhagat as they say in hindi. There is still a v.v.v.v.v. long way to go I'm on the path of putting my feet up and sipping pink lemonade until work tonight I practice the Yoga taught by Yogi Beyondananda. The Yoga of Baseball with Yogi Berra. I am on the path laid out by Yogi Bear. Stealing picnic baskets and outsmarting Mr. Ranger. Jnana Yoga. (path of direct understanding) ~ Eric Putkonen i am into the path of bhakthi yoga and karma yoga.........like hanuman .......Hanuman had bhakthi towards Ram and had success by helping Ram in defeating Raavan...... jai Amma jai anjaneeyaaya namaha Well today I came to know that I'm following a path it is Jnana and Karma Yogas Bhakti is bit difficult and the 2 which I follow gives me Raja Yoga. |
